David Jason Ragin (born August 10, 1994) is an American actor, director, writer and occasional rapper, and is the Chairman and CEO of Cyberstars Entertainment. He is the creator of the Graffiti series, and is one of the creators of Cyberstars, alongside Cortez Andre and Demonte Thompson.

As an actor, he portrayed the titular Dylan Johnson / Graffiti in the Graffiti films, and is one of the original cast of Cyberstars.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Ragin was born in Toledo, Ohio to Patricia Ragin (née Murphy) (died 2019) and Darrell Ragin, and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He has an older sister, April "Deep Aries" Gardner, and younger sister, Ariel.

He attended Communication and Media Arts High School, and was a member of the Creative Arts Spirit of Excellence (CASOE) Group from 2008 to 2014, and returned to be the Interim Director from April to June 2016. During this time, he met many of his friends and associates, including Cortez Andre, Alyssa Crawley, Demonte Thompson and Christian Parker.

Outside of acting, David had an unsuccessful career as a rapper from 2003 to 2017 under the monikers Lil Ray and later Lil Ray Ragin, releasing multiple mixtapes. He was also a part of numerous music collectives, including Evolution, GenerRaytion and Drumotatics Music.

Despite his latest music release being in 2015, Ragin has continued to write music, and has made appearances on other artists' songs.

Personal Life[edit | edit source]

On August 5, 2017, he married his longtime friend and childhood crush Rachelle Chaney, and moved back to Toledo, Ohio. He would return to Detroit in June 2019.

He currently works as a Direct Care Worker for Radclift Inc., and as a Package Handler and Trainer for FedEx Ground. He is also a Deacon at JAWS for Jesus Missionary Baptist Church.
